Thierry Henry

Thierry Henry
Thierry Daniel Henry, born on 17 August 1977 in France is currently Arsenal's all-time record goalscorer. Although born in France, and began playing for European times in Belgium and France, it was his eight years at Arsenal that Henry became a world class player. Unlike many of today's professional footballers, playing was not necessarily Henry's passion from a young age. His skills were clearly visible, leading to him being recruited to a local french club from the age of 7, but he was not as passionate about the sport as expected.

Henry joined the Monaco team as a youth player from the age of 13, and in time joined the professional league in August 1994. In 1988 he already signed up with Italy's Serie A leading team - Juventus, just for one year, after which he was signed to play in Premier League's famous team - Arsenal. After being signed to Arsenal, he has won two league titles and three FA Cups for the team, playing a huge part of the team's success over the years. During 2001-2002, Henry scored 32 goals in all leagues, and lead his team to win a great deal of Trophies and Cups due to his successes.

In 2007, he left Arsenal and joined Barcelona, and three years after that joined the New York Red Bulls, before being temporarily loaned back to Arsenal for a few months. As of 2016, Thierry Henry is a Belgium Assistant manager, working with Roberto Martínez and Graeme Jones. Even if you haven't had the chance to watch Thierry Henry live on the field, you can stll catch some great English football players.
