Swansea City

Swansea City
Being founded in 1912 as Swansea Town, and then entering the football league in 1921, the team now known as Swansea City AFC, nicknamed the ‘Swans', is based in Swansea in Wales. Like many Premier League teams, the team changed their name from Swansea Town to Swansea City to mark the ‘town' of Swansea gaining ‘city' status in 1969. The team had a long history at its home stadium, Vetch Field, where it played until 2005 when it moved to Liberty Stadium
Although the team proves to not be as successful as teams such as Arsenal, Tottenham, and Manchester United, Swansea City has now established it position on the Premier League: ever since it was qualified to the Premier League in 2010/2011 (and by that being the first Welsh football team in history who ever made it so far), Swansea city fights for its place, and never gives up. Although it's direct competition may not be the teams in the first few positions on the Premier League Table, its main competition are viable teams such as Burnely, Watford, and Crystal Palace. The first major trophy won by Swansea City was the Welsh Cup, won in 1913 under their original team name. Since then the team has gone on to win 12 awards of the Welsh Football League, as well as trophies for English Second, Third, and Fourth Tier.
The team has faced many ups and downs, guaranteeing that each match is interesting and exciting. On the field, managed by Paul Clement, you can watch great football players, such as Tammy Abraham (who's currently on loan from Chelsea), Jordan Ayew, Leroy Fer, Alfie Mawson and more, doing the best they can in order to climb up its way till the top.
