Arsenal
The gunners from North London are here to provide us some great English football! Throughout history, Arsenal kept its place as one of the major teams and the most powerful ones on the English Premier League, and today is considered one of the best teams in the world, as well as one of the richest ones. The club was founded in London sometime in 1886 and has since gained wins, trophies and many titles: 13 Premier League Championships, 12 FA Cups, 2 wins in the National League, 14 FA Community Shields, one UEFA Cup Winners' cup European Cup Winners' Cup and more.

Arsenal's home field has changed over the years: the first one was Manor Ground, located in south-east London, where the team played till it was transferred to North London in 1913. With the transition, Arsenal found its home at Arsenal stadium (called "Highbury"), containing up to 60,000 spectators seats where it played for more than 90 years. The team would probably still play there to this day, but strict regulations of UEFA led do a major decrease in its capacity, and the decision of expanding was made. After many discussions and numerous tests, it was decided in 2000 to build a new stadium, close to Highbury, that will contain 60,000 seats, on Ashburton Grove. The stadium got the name "Emirates Stadium", and is used to this day as Arsenal's home stadium.

Arsenal is not just a football team for the English, but a real culture phenomena, as well as a source of pride, so no wonder it is mentioned many times in popular culture: the team appeared in the first episode of Match of the day – a famous BBC television show, in which were broadcasted few parts from its matches against Liverpool, it starred in one of the first football movies ever The Arsenal Stadium Mystery, the movie "Fever Pitch," which was based on the book by Nick Hornby in which was described his relationship with the Arsenal, and many other references in English movies and TV shows.  With superstar players throughout history, such as Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, David O'Leary, Tony Adams, David Seaman, Thierry Henry, Ian Wright and more, there’s no doubt the Arsenal will accompany the pages of English football for many more years to come.
